DOMAIN Begins Work On New Material

German melodic metal band DOMAIN has commenced work on its new album — the group's first to feature the latest addition to the band's lineup — vocalist Chity Somapala (ex-FIREWIND, AVALON, FARO) and bassist Steven Wussow (SHYLOCK). An early 2008 release is expected.

DOMAIN guitarist and producer Axel Ritt recently atteneed the Musikmesse Frankfurt, which resulted in him attending the Warwick Award party at the Maritim hotel Frankfurt. There Ritt rubbed shoulders with such luminaries as Kerry King (SLAYER),Yenz Leonhardt (LACRIMOSA),bass legend Jonas Hellborg and the son of bass god Jaco Pastorius, Felix Pastorius.

DOMAIN has scheduled two live performances: On May 13, they will headline the third day of the Rock am See festival in Schotten-Rainrod, Germany. Also scheduled to appear are GRAVE DIGGER, U.D.O. and DORO, among others. On July 21, DOMAIN will perform at the Angeldays festival at Greuthalle in Aalen, Germany. Along with DOMAIN, bands like SHAKRA, FREEDOM CALL and PINK CREAM 69 will help raise money for the child hospital Sternenbrücke.
